We recently moved house. First, I have to comment that our new apartment is 1/3 larger than our old one and we can’t get over the difference some space makes. It’s FUN cooking now when you actually have the room to spread out. And the washer and dryer are awesome! Does that mean you’re domesticated if you get excited about laundry equipment? Or just kind of dorky?
Our new place is a little out from the hustle and noise of the Orchard area but still very central for us. We love the new location too. It’s quieter, right next door to Little Man’s twin girlfriends and down the road from several other friends, and across the street from the church and a local wet market. In the few weeks we’ve lived here we have come to love that wet market. It has great fresh fruits, veg and meat at a fraction of the price of the grocery. We went this morning to load up and I was giddy at the gorgeous display of veggies. I didn’t capture it in a picture, but should have!
After our shopping, we stopped for a tea at the “Starbucks” also known as Icbals Hot and Cold Drinks. Ali and I each got what I liken to a chai latte for S$1.90 total. Can’t beat that!
